New Wordpress installed
Hello hello!
So here’s something worth admitting: I’ve been running Wordpress 2.0 since 2006 and have never once bothered to upgrade to the latest version – unlike Jonathan who seems to update to the current stable almost daily! So without further ado, let me welcome you to the new Wordpress2.5′d timokeller.net 2.0. I designed this rather simple theme to run on the effortlessly awesome K2 theme for wordpress, and I think its come out okay. Suggestions?
Congrats to the Wordpress guys on a stunning new WP-ADMIN panel and the already huge number of downloads they have received. Its funny how even though its just a blogging script, it gets much more attention than Drupal releasing 6.1!
I’ve spent most of the past four months working on ChirpFX, a simple MVC Framework for developing human-centric web applications in PHP 5. The first application to use the framework is ChirpSchool – a highly extensible webapp for school and student management, assessment, promotion and monitoring. Its been picked up by the likes of Sun Valley Primary School and other local schools, and we’re looking forward to expanding at a rather exciting pace. We’ll have a promo website up soon with more information. More on that in the coming weeks.

Great new theme. tho the text is a bit on the dark side (unreadable). Yeah i quite like the new wordpress a beautiful design. ive had it for quite a long time. I even modified the old 2.3.3 theme to look like 2.5 because i did not like the old theme at all.
I believe that the guys from Alistapart worked on this new admin theme (tho i am not too sure about that so dont hold me to it lol).
K2 is a beautiful theme. it is the best theme that i have come accross.
I wonder if wordpress will ever add support fot Smarty template like drupal does (where u can have multiple theme engines.) Because i think if they do that it would save a huge amount of hassle for theme designers that may not be that php savvy.
I just remembered that i had a twitter account today so i went and added a few twitters. (www.twitter.com/jonathanw if ur interested.)
I am hoping that wordpress will go more OOP in the future and maybe create a few coding standards for theit core developers/plugin developer/other developers to follow like drupal who have rigourous standards that you must follow. I think that the wordpress code code is an abomnation to the eye because it is such a mess (everything is everywhere there is no standard). I quite like the Zend Framwork coding standards.
